Free Weddings at Twin Cities Pride 2026!

All Love Is Worth Celebrating

This year, Cherished Vows Weddings is offering free wedding ceremonies at Twin Cities Pride for couples who want to say "I do" in a joyful, affirming community setting.

Whether you're planning a legal marriage or a symbolic ceremony, you're welcome to stop by and celebrate your commitment.

Every ceremony will be brief, meaningful, and personalized. You can bring your own vows or choose one of several options we'll provide. You're welcome to bring along a short reading, poem, or quote or ask a loved one to say a few words.

Whether you choose to keep things simple or add a few personal touches, we'll make sure the moment feels like yours.

How It Works

Simply visit the Cherished Vows Weddings booth during Twin Cities Pride.

For legal marriages, bring:

  • A valid Minnesota marriage license
  • Two witnesses (or we'll help you find volunteers)

For symbolic ceremonies:

  • No paperwork is required

Ceremonies are offered on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the event.

If you want your marriage to be legally binding, you will need to apply for a Minnesota marriage license in advance and bring it with you to Pride.

If you don't have one, you're still welcome to participate in a symbolic ceremony.

Minnesota requires two witnesses for legal marriages.

If you don't have witnesses with you, we'll be happy to help you recruit volunteers from the Pride community.

Yes! I'll have several vow options available for you to choose from, or you can bring your own.

Absolutely! You're welcome to bring a short reading, poem, quote, or blessing that is meaningful to you.

You may bring music on your own device if you'd like.

Please note that I will not be providing sound equipment, and ceremonies will be kept relatively short so that as many couples as possible can participate.

No professional photographer will be provided, but you're welcome to bring your own or invite friends to capture the moment. I will be more than happy to take photos on your phone after your ceremony.

Absolutely! If you have someone with you who can record the ceremony, they are more than welcome to do so. You're welcome to post it online or share it with others if you wish.

Note that no professional videographer or recording equipment will be provided.

Nope! All weddings are first-come, first-served. Just stop by during Pride, and we'll celebrate as many couples as we can!

Absolutely! The only difference is that you get to skip the paperwork this time.

We hope you don't! There's plenty of love to enjoy at our booth, no matter what your relationship status is.

For the second year, we'll be hosting a Mini Love Letters activity, where you can write positive notes to yourself, a loved one, or the Pride community. Take your note with you, or leave it to share with others. We'll also be sharing notes from last year, so drop by and feel the love!
